Cabinetmakers', Display and Millwork Apprentice Pay

  • The CDM apprentice starts the program as a first term apprentice and moves through the program to achieve journey level status.
  • Each term consists of:
    • Accumulation of 900 hours of on-the-job experience
    • Eight skill competency tasks successfully completed in school
    • Minimum of six months from completion of the previous term
  • Journey level status is obtained by earning 48 blocks and 5400 on-the-job experience hours.

Apprentice Terms and Compensation Packages

1st Term 50-55% of Journey level rate with full health benefits

2nd Term 58-62% of Journey level rate with full health benefits

3rd Term 65-69% of Journey level rate with full health benefits

4th Term 73-76% of Journey level rate with full health benefits

5th Term 80-83% of Journey level rate with full health benefits

6th Term 87-90% of Journey level rate with full health benefits

Upon completion of the 6th six months 100% of the Journey level rate

 

Graduates of the program receive a diploma from the United States Department of labor’s Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training and the apprenticeship school.
