In the first week of this course, apprentices will be introduced to the basic tools, equipment and methods used for concrete work. Apprentices will learn building layout, setting forms, using the builders’ level and transit, and estimating concrete quantities for most residential applications.

In the second week, the apprentices will further advance their abilities in calculating concrete quantities. Apprentices will learn the methods and equipment used in the commercial concrete industry, such as beam and deck, column, tilt-up, and stair forms.
